EXPANDING QUALITY IN INFANT AND TODDLER CARE (EQIT)
This 48-hour training provides teachers, assistant teachers, family child care providers and early interventionists with up-to-date information to enhance their work with infants and toddlers, as well as meet regulatory requirements for training by the state. EQIT includes 16 modules covering topics such as: Brain Development, Responsive Caregiving, Culture, Literacy, Meeting the Emotional Needs of Infants and Toddlers, and Celebrating the
Profession. This course is funded by the Colorado Department of Human Services through the Douglas County Early Childhood Council. The EQIT Curriculum has been approved by the Division of Child Care as one of the classes that can be used for Early Childhood Teacher Qualifications.

Child Care Innovations at Red Rocks Community College has existed for more than twenty years, providing training and support to child care providers, building child care capacity, and developing programs to enhance quality. As a contracted partner of Qualistar Colorado, they provide child care referrals, consumer education, and provider services for the counties of Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Park.
